# Quickstart

> Set up your workspace and run your first analyzed call.

There are two paths through this page. If you created the workspace, do the setup below once and every rep benefits. If you joined an existing workspace, there is nothing to set up: skip to [run your first call](#run-your-first-call).

## Sign in

Open the desktop app and sign in. On first launch, grant microphone and system-audio access when prompted so the copilot can follow both sides of a call.

## Set up your workspace

Your dashboard home shows a **Finish setting up** checklist with these four cards. They check off automatically as each one is done, and this is the same order to do them in:

<Steps>
  <Step title="Review your battle cards">
    If you kept web research on during signup, Caspr has already researched your company and drafted a starter set of [battle cards](/battle-cards/overview), waiting under **Knowledge → Battle Cards → Recommended**. Approve the ones you want, edit the close-but-not-right ones, dismiss the rest. Or write your first card directly: a question and the answer you want delivered.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Upload your knowledge base">
    In **Knowledge → Documents**, upload two or three current files: a pricing sheet, a competitor one-pager, an objection or FAQ doc. The copilot answers from what you give it, and a few clean documents beat a large stale archive. [What to add](/knowledge-base/overview#what-to-add) covers what belongs.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Create a product">
    In **Products**, tell the copilot what you sell. Write it yourself, or use **Generate with AI**, which drafts products from the cards and documents you just added. The default product attaches to every call automatically. See [products](/products/overview).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Tailor your playbook">
    Every workspace starts with a default [playbook](/playbooks/overview) active, so live coaching works from the first call. Open **Playbooks** and make it match how your team actually sells: adapt it with the [AI editor](/playbooks/ai-editor), or start from a framework like MEDDPICC or BANT.
  </Step>
</Steps>

Each step feeds the next: cards and documents give the copilot answers, the product tells it what you sell, and the playbook tells it what a good call covers.

## Run your first call

Start your meeting as usual and open the copilot. Press <kbd>Cmd</kbd>+<kbd>Shift</kbd>+<kbd>Enter</kbd> at any point, from any app, to ask a question; the answer comes from your knowledge base with the source attached. The copilot can also surface answers on its own; see [detection modes](/live-calls/detection-modes).

## Review the call

When the call ends, open it under [Sessions](/sessions/overview): notes with action items, a classification of every prospect question, and any [knowledge gaps](/battle-cards/knowledge-gaps). Close a gap by adding the missing answer, and the next rep who hears that question gets it live.
