# Documents

> Upload files for the copilot to answer from.

Upload files under **Knowledge → Documents**. A document is indexed and available to the copilot on the next call.

When content changes, upload the new version and remove the old one, so the copilot never quotes a stale number. Native text documents and PDFs index cleanly; prefer the source file over a scanned or exported copy.

Start with two or three strong files, a pricing sheet, a competitor one-pager, an objection or FAQ doc, and grow from the [knowledge gaps](/battle-cards/knowledge-gaps) real calls surface. [What to add](/knowledge-base/overview#what-to-add) covers what belongs and what does not.
