# Live calls

> The overlay that rides along on your calls.

On a call, Caspr runs as a compact overlay next to your meeting. It captures audio on your computer, transcribes in real time, and shows answers only to you.

## Ask anything

Press <kbd>Cmd</kbd>+<kbd>Shift</kbd>+<kbd>Enter</kbd> at any time, even while another app has focus, or type in the answer panel, and the copilot answers from your knowledge base with the source attached. This works in every mode and needs no setup.

Depending on your [detection mode](/live-calls/detection-modes), the copilot also follows the conversation and surfaces answers on its own when the prospect asks something it recognizes.

Treat every card as a prompt to say in your own words, not a script to read.

## The panels

* **Answer panel.** Where answers appear, asked or detected.
* **Transcript.** Live, labeled by speaker.
* **Playbook.** Your framework, checked off as you cover it. **Assist** gives guidance for the current moment. See [playbooks](/playbooks/overview).
* **Product.** The [product](/products/overview) this call runs with. Switch it if the call is about a different one.
* **End.** Ends the call and starts the post-call write-up.

## Audio and permissions

The copilot captures the meeting audio and your microphone so it follows both sides of the conversation. Grant microphone and system-audio access when prompted on first launch.

## Stealth mode

The overlay is hidden from screen shares, recordings, and screenshots by default. Toggle it with <kbd>Cmd</kbd>+<kbd>Shift</kbd>+<kbd>S</kbd>.

## Recording and consent

Capture starts with the call unless your workspace requires consent first, in which case the overlay asks you to confirm before it begins. Details in [security and compliance](/admin/security-and-compliance).
