The Google Drive connector indexes Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets, plus uploaded files like PDFs and Word documents, and re-syncs as content changes.
Connect
- Go to Settings → Connectors → Add Connector and pick Google Drive.
- Click Authorize and sign in with the Google account that has access to the material. You’re granting read-only access for your own account - nobody else’s Drive is touched.
Choose what to index
Two scoping styles, on the What should we index? step:
- General - broad switches: include shared drives, include My Drive, include files shared with you. Each is off by default.
- Specific - paste the URLs of particular shared drives or folders (comma-separated). This is the mode we recommend.
Point the connector at the folders that hold clean, current sales material - a “Sales Enablement” folder, not your whole Drive. You control exactly what the copilot can quote, indexing is faster, and there’s no noise from drafts and personal files.
Sharing
At creation you choose whether the indexed content is searchable by your whole team or only by you. Team-shared is the right choice for shared drives of sales collateral; keep personal folders private.
