The Outline connector indexes documents from an Outline wiki - self-hosted or app.getoutline.com - and keeps them in sync.

Connect

  1. In Outline, create an API key: Settings → API Keys.
  2. Go to Settings → Connectors → Add Connector and pick Outline.
  3. Enter your Outline Base URL (e.g. https://app.getoutline.com, or your self-hosted address) and the API token.

Choose what to index

Three scopes on the What should we index? step:
  • Collection (recommended) - index a single collection. Find the collection ID in its URL or via the API.
  • Document tree - index one document and all of its nested sub-pages.
  • Everything - every document the API key can access. Large wikis can run into your plan’s document limits, so only use this if you really mean to.
Scope to the collection that holds sales material. If the connector reports it hit a document cap, narrow the scope rather than raising the cap - retrieval quality is better from a curated set.

At creation you choose whether the indexed content is searchable by your whole team or only by you.
